The “Maine” Place

Student Center - Back Side

When walking into the Student center, there are many welcoming aromas from the South Dining Hall that will greet you. This is the main place to get food as a student or visitor at UMF. The South Dining Hall offers buffet-style dining with a huge variety of food.

Also in the Student center are UMF’s three North Dining Halls, located at the front of the building. These are usually used individually,
but they have partitions that can be opened up to make the three (or two) into one large conference room.

It features high ceilings, large windows, hanging lights, and is very accommodating for the use of a projector and screen. CR123 has a capacity of 50 people.

In the lower level of the Student Center is The Landing. The Landing is used mostly for small events such as socials, movie nights, and awareness gatherings. Poetry readings, small concerts, and other events can be held there as well. The Landing features comfortable seating, a small stage, stage lighting, a projector and screen, and a full surround sound system. The Landing has a capacity of 80 people.

The lower level of the Student Center is also home to the brand new Beaver Lodge! Previously called the Snack Bar, the Beaver Lodge is almost twice the size of the Snack Bar, and has a lot more seating space and menu options. It is the perfect place to get homework done, talk with friends, and get a bite to eat of course.
