Record: 8-6-2 overall, 7-1-0 conference
With three straight wins in a row that Lady Beavers are dominating against their conference teams, closing with shut out scores. Beavers won against Maine Maritime with a score of 3-0, two goals scored by Kayla Tuttle, senior midfielder, and one by Meryl Bond, sophomore midfielder. Away against Johnson State the team won 3-0 again, with a hat trick by Tuttle, who also recently received North Atlantic Conference Women’s Soccer Player of the Week. This past Saturday the women’s soccer team crushes Green Mountain College Eagles with a final score of 7-0.
Record: 4-11-1 overall, 2-5-1 conference
After losing six games in a row the men’s soccer team was able to pull through against Johnson State in the second half of the game, with a final score of 1-0, goal scored by Ibrahim Achekh, sophomore midfielder. Followed by a tough loss against Thomas College in a North Atlantic Conference game with a final score of 3-0. The men were able to come out prepared against Green Mountain College and dominated with a final score of 6-0 boosting their confidence right before playoff season starts.
Finishing fifth out of seven teams in the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Championship it was hard for the Beavers to compete with the returning champions, Husson University who finishing first for the eighth straight year. Over the two day span the men had an overall score of 656, scoring 329 on the first day and 327 on the second day at Samoset Resort Golf Course. David Berthiaume, senior, finished in a tie for 11th place with a score of 81 the first day and 78 on the final day of the NAC Championship.
