Director of Fitness and Recreation Center for UMF Athletics.

The Director of the University of Maine Farmington’s Fitness and Recreation Center (FRC) is responsible for the overall daily administration of the highly visible FRC staff, facilities, programs and services that serve both campus and community needs.  This person must be an effective leader who can develop and maximize limited human, fiscal and structural resources to achieve goals consistent with the mission and philosophy of the Center and the University. The FRC supports a broad range of campus fitness and recreation programs in areas such as: aquatics, group fitness, health and safety education, intramurals, personal training, physical education, outdoor recreation and youth programs. It also supports selected club and varsity sport indoor training needs. Uniquely, the center also serves as a primary fitness and aquatics facility for community members.  Furthermore, it supports unique learn-to-swim and learn-to-ski programs, and extends its outdoor recreation, “Mainely Outdoors” programs, to community participation and gear rental.
