The UMF SnowCats Learn-to-Ski Program is a fun, instructional after-school ski program for children in grades K-3. Held at Farmington’s Titcomb Mountain, the UMF SnowCats Program coordinated by the UMF Fitness & Recreation Center. We will be offering snowboarding to those students who own their own equipment this year!

Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:45pm-5:45pm

Registration Packet  (pdf)

$50  Farmington Ski Club Members (child must hold membership)
$90  Non-Members

Payment in full is due at the time of registration.

This UMF SnowCats program does not provide equipment. Northern Lights Hearth & Sports, however, offers daily rentals for $5 and a discount package of $50 for the duration of the SnowCats program. (The rental program is not a season-long lease program.)

Transportation / Parents Car Pool

Parents / caregivers are responsible for providing their child with rides to and from Titcomb Mountain. A phone list will be given out the parents to help them arrange car pooling at their convenience. To be included on the phone list, just indicate your interest on the Registration Form.

Inclement Weather / Cancellations

We live in Maine and skiing & snowboarding are snow activities. So generally lessons are held, even on SAD 9 or UMF snow days, unless Titcomb Mountain closes or if mountain conditions are deemed unsafe.

In the event of inclement weather, parents are encouraged to visit Titcomb Mountain’s website or contact the UMF Fitness & Recreation Center (tel  207-778-7495) to find out if lessons are still being held.

Registration Information

The UMF SnowCats registration deadline is coming soon. The program has limited space for participation and will be based on the best instructor-to-child ratio available. Space is on a first-come / first-served basis.
