Honors Alumni

The Honors College now has three decades of graduates. Honors College alumni live and work in Maine and around the globe. Honors alumni profiles provide a glimpse into their lives and the ways they are changing the world.

 

Marjorie Childs graduated from UMF in 1989. She is a teacher at the China school system in Maine as a Speech-Language Pathologist and a proud mother of two. 

Carla Stover is one of the co-founders of the Honors Club. She graduated from UMF in 1996 and is currently teaching at the University of South Florida.

Katie Vetro graduated in from UMF in 2004. She teaches fifth grade in Buxton, Maine.

Oreva Olakpe graduated in 2009 and has interned at UNICEF and has lived in Geneva, China, and Nigeria. She is currently a PhD candidate at the University of London.

Hayden Golden graduated from UMF in 2012 and has worked on three campaigns to legalize same-sex marriage.
