UMF Faculty Member Named Editor of Prestigious Journal on Thoreau

RP112-037Kristen Case, UMF assistant professor of English, is taking the editorial reins of the Concord Saunterer, a journal devoted to author Henry David Thoreau—as reported by the Boston Globe. Case’s new position with the Thoreau Society—the oldest and largest organization devoted to an American author—begins with the upcoming volume. The prestigious academic journal will be housed on the UMF campus during Case’s term as editor. Her scholarly work on the author began in 2007 and includes the ongoing transcription and publication of an online edition of Thoreau’s previously unpublished “Kalendar.”
