UMF Grad Lindsay Ball to Compete in Paralympics in Sochi, Russia


Recent UMF graduate Lindsay Ball is headed for Sochi, Russia, to compete with the 2014 U.S. Paralympic Alpine Skiing Team, as reported by The Washington Times. Born visually impaired, Ball is from Benton, Maine, and is the only Mainer named to the Alpine team. She and her skiing guide, Diane Barras, have won several competitions including the bronze medal in the 2012 Alpine Skiing World Cup Women’s Giant Slalom Visually Impaired race. They will compete in the giant slalom in Sochi on March 16
