This scholarship is available for African American, Hispanic/Latino, or American Indian student. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident of the U.S. and be a high school senior, college freshman, sophomore or junior intending to or already majoring in chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering or a chemically-related science and planning a career in the chemical sciences or chemical technology. You need to be a full-time student at an accredited college, university or community college with a high academic standing in chemistry or science (Grade Point Average 3.0 or better) and able to demonstrate evidence of financial need according to the FAFSA.
Scholarships are renewable for up to $5,000 for High school seniors and college freshman, sophomores and juniors per academic year. The scholarships are renewable for all four or five years of an undergraduate degree so long as the student maintains a GPA of 3.0 in an approved major. Renewable forms and transcripts are required each year.
