Girls Talk and Teen Voices are mentoring programs designed to help raise aspirations and build and enhance self-esteem while emphasizing personal responsibility and decision making for young girls. The program also seeks to create an environment that fosters a strong commitment to community by partnering girls in grades 5 to 8 with female role models within the MSAD #58 communities and with young women leaders at the University of Maine at Farmington.
Becoming a mentor, while entailing significant responsibility, can be a very rich and rewarding experience for you. The Program Directors are looking for individuals who will be a positive role model for young girls and who are able to make a commitment to the program.
