Description of the Internship:
The Franklin County Adult Education (FCAE) program provides an environment in which learners can use their voices, access information, take effective action, and move confidently into the future.  FCAE provides opportunities for:  Business and Skills Training; High School Degree Completion; College Transitions; Personal Enrichment; and Literacy.

FCAE is seeking an intern for a year-long (2 semester) economic analysis project.  The Economic Analysis Intern will develop and implement strategies to analyze data from their various programs and components in a manner that will assess the economic impact of the organization on the local economy, as well as capturing the impact of their efforts on all beneficiaries.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop a methodology for assessing the economic impact of the organization on Franklin County.
  • Gather appropriate data and other performance indicators as required to complete the assessment.
  • Complete a report on the overall impact of FCAE’s programs and components (a comprehensive return on investment report).
  • Complete a report on the economic impact of FCAE for distribution to state and local stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and writing)
  • Strong data skills
  • Adept with Excel or other spreadsheet software
  • Familiarity with data analysis and cost benefit analysis
  • Interest in economic analysis
  • A minimum of 8 credits earned in economics
