|Y Summer Camp is the Y’s co-ed day camp located at the Y’s 93-acre Outdoor Learning and Education Center (OLEC). A quintessential Maine day camp, Y Summer Camp boasts a large playing field, wooded areas, a brook and more (alymca.org).
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Provides direct supervision of a group of children in a seasonal day camp. Creates positive, nurturing relationships with children, while building cooperative relationships with parents/caregivers. Promotes and supports the potential of all youth in programs and facilitates peer-to-peer connections as part of the overall camp experience. Counselors are expected to work 40+ hours per week and are paid a weekly stipend starting at $440.
