Location: Farmington, ME in UMF’s Franklin Hall, though some off-site  field work will be necessary.
Period of Engagement:  Summer (Application Deadline: March 1st)  or Spring (Application Deadline: October 15th)

Description of the Internship:
TRIO Johnson Scholars is a federally funded UMF program that serves students that are the first in their family to pursue a four year degree, many of whom also face income challenges. For more information, visit http://www2.umf.maine.edu/trio/about-us/
Responsibilities:
  • Provide mentoring to caseload of JS students
  • Organize & implement program events
  • Create and distribute marketing materials for JS program/events
  • Promote JS program on campus and off-campus settings
  • Review scholarly research to shape JS programming
  • Organize fundraising activities/events
  • Provide outreach to potential JS students
  • Participate in campus events to increase JS visibility
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of Junior Status
