Accept the Challenge: Lead UMF
Summits, panel presentations, discussions and a series of workshops on different leadership aspects and skills development will be scheduled throughout the academic year.
In addition, four (4) leadership field trips, called “Get on the Bus” events will be scheduled, 2 in the fall and 2 in the spring. These events will give students an opportunity to visit, interact with, and learn about different sectors of our region, including: Local Foods/Sustainability; Local Government; Non-Profits (health and human services); and regional businesses.

Open to all students. Attend this panel presentation session and hear from 4 regional leaders from different sectors talk about how the different roads each followed to reach their current leadership positions. Panelists will include: Gerald Cayer, Vice President for Physician and Community Services for Franklin Community Health Network; Susan Pratt, Superintendent f Schools for MSAD #58; Andrew Robinson, District Attorney for Maine Prosecutorial District 3; and Tanya Swain, Partner with SmallFish Consulting Group and the Project Director for the Maine food Strategy.
