Denise received her degree from the University of Massachusetts at Boston in 1993 and completed her MSN from the University of Maine Orono in the spring of 2009. She has been working part-time at the Student Health Center for 5 years and is an instructor in the Community Health Department.
She loves the balance between clinical work and health education. She feels that the combination of working as an instructor of health education keeps her on the forefront of many health issues and working one-on-one with students as a nurse keeps her more in tune with student issues and needs. Her areas of interest in the healthcare field include spirituality and health; food and our relationships with food; and sustainable living as it applies to all dimensions of health.
