University of Maine at Farmington Teacher Education Unit
One of only three nationally accredited teacher preparation programs in Maine, UMF’s undergraduate teacher education programs have a long tradition of preparing highly qualified candidates to teach in Maine and beyond.
Certification Programs Offered in Six Fields:

Since 2006, seven Maine Teacher of the Year recipients have been graduates of teacher preparation programs at the University of Maine at Farmington.
Three UMF graduates including one secondary education major were selected as Fulbright ambassadors in 2016.
