The Center for Student Involvement (CSI) acts as the advisors to student organizations of all kinds. CSI is made up of student staff that works as a team within the office to carry out office and student life tasks. Some things the student staff are responsible for are: Weekend Adventures and Excursions trips, advertisements for events, designing and printing large banners, managing clubs and organizations on campus, collaborating with student staff in The Landing and other departments around campus to provide events and traveling opportunities for other UMF students.
CSI offers programs, activities and events six nights weekly in the Landing. Students hired as program managers create ALL activities, events and programs for the Landing.
The Landing is a multipurpose room with a maximum seating capacity of 145. The Landing offers a study area, comfortable seating, standard tables and chairs, stage, and modern multimedia sound and lighting system. During the day, students use the facility as a place to study, relax, use WiFi or meet up with friends. At night, the Landing transforms into a hub for programs and events such as Trivia, Craft Night, Trivia, Game Night (table games, wii, xbox), Open Mic Night, Visiting Writer Series, yoga, comedians, tournaments, and more. The Center for Student Involvement is responsible for the activities that occur in The Landing and student staff in each area collaborate. There is a team of student staff who are responsible for hosting these events.
